Brushing Away Barriers: Dulux is Supporting International Women’s Day with Habitat for Humanity Australia’s and our Brush Kindness Program
International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women worldwide. At Habitat for Humanity Australia, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and secure home, and this year, in honour of International Women’s Day, we are spotlighting our Brush with Kindness program. Through this initiative, we are working to renovate women’s shelters, providing vulnerable women and children with dignified and comfortable living spaces.
At the heart of this transformative initiative is our long-standing partnership with Dulux Australia, a relationship that has spanned over 30 years. Dulux’s generous contributions of high-quality paint have been instrumental in revitalising homes and community spaces across Australia. Together, we are creating environments where women and families in crisis can heal, rebuild, and look forward to a brighter future.
The Power of a Fresh Coat of Paint
A fresh coat of paint is more than just a colour change—it symbolises renewal, hope, and a fresh start. Many women and children who find themselves in shelters have experienced hardships, and transforming these spaces into warm, welcoming environments plays a crucial role in their journey toward stability.
With the support of Dulux, Habitat for Humanity Australia is making a tangible difference by:
- Revitalising Women’s Shelters: Providing safe, comfortable, and uplifting environments for women and children escaping domestic violence.
- Engaging Volunteers for Change: Mobilising corporate and community volunteers to lend a helping hand in shelter renovations.
- Sustaining Impact with Quality & Sustainability: Using eco-friendly, durable paints to ensure long-lasting improvements with minimal environmental impact.
Making a Difference, One Brushstroke at a Time
Throughout the month of March, Dulux’s paint donations will be making an impact as our corporate volunteers are mobilised across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Newcastle to renovate women’s shelters. These efforts will provide much-needed transformations to create safe and comfortable environments for vulnerable women and children.
