Building homes and hope in Victoria through corporate support

Habitat Victoria were recently joined by staff from ASSA ABLOY Australia to volunteer on our home building program.

ASSA ABLOY supply all of the locks and door furniture for Victoria’s Habitat houses and spent the day fitting their products into a home that is being built for a family affected by the Black Saturday bush fires.

Watch the video below to see what the team got up to on the day.

I heard the interview with Kelly from the Morning ABC program. I have a particular family in mind that I am case managing at the moment. To explain, I am a caseworker for a court referral program which supports people with matters before court in a holistic, referral program to address their ongoing issues.

This family have been homeless for some time and have now been put under a management program with Housing NSW to try and help support them. The ultimate goal for me would be to see them actually have their own home, which would allow them that incredible safety and support to be independent for life.

My phone number is 67645781 for my direct line and the email as listed.

    Many thanks

    Lindy

      Hi Lindy,
Our state affiliates deliver our domestic program so it is best to contact them directly to find out about current home ownership opportunities. You can find NSW’s contact details here: https://habitat.org.au/nsw/about-us/contact-us/

      Thanks
      The Habitat Team
