Brief info

Kirsten has 30 years’ experience designing and delivering built environment projects throughout Asia, the Pacific, and Australia, most of which have focused on delivering benefits to poor and vulnerable communities. Over the last 10 years, she has worked on pioneering initiatives building urban resilience to climate change and other disasters and reducing disaster risk funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery and Australian governments. Kirsten holds a MSc Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a BA (Design) from RMIT University.
