CEO- Grant Thornton

Brief info

It is with great pride that I lead our talented and passionate team of accountants and advisors at Grant Thornton Australia who always seek to exceed our clients expectations. As CEO of Grant Thornton Australia, I am passionate about diversity and inclusion, and am proud to have recently been awarded the Male Champion of Change Award from Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Victoria in 2018, that our firm was awarded the Bronze status by Pride in Diversity Australia 2019 and the Global Diversity award by Grant Thornton International in 2019.

Before being appointed CEO for Grant Thornton Australia in July 2015 I was Managing Partner of the Sydney office, the National Managing Partner of Strategic Business Development and a Lead Partner in our Financial Advisory team. I also previously started and led the Restructuring Team for Grant Thornton China, based out of Hong Kong, which afforded me the opportunity to expand my cultural understanding as well as work, travel and build relationships throughout the region. I am a member of the Grant Thornton Australia Limited’s Board, I am a former member of Grant Thornton International Limited’s Board of Governors, Strategy and Governance Committees. In July 2015 I travelled with all of my 130 Australian partners to Phnom Penh in Cambodia to build 10 homes for 10 families suffering poverty and disease with Habitat for Humanity. Three years later, in July 2018, I travelled with 150 of my Partners to Quang Nam Province in Vietnam to build 13 disaster-resilient homes for 13 families. The Habitat for Humanity experiences are one of the best things that Grant Thornton Australia has done on numerous levels including personal, team building, CSR and engagement with clients and our people. It has created a strong bond within our partnership, changed the way we are perceived by our people and connected us on a higher level with numerous clients. I have heard many partners express that the two builds are one of the best things they have achieved in their careers and that they look back on the builds with great pride and accomplishment.
