Executive General Manager, Operational Excellence - Suncorp

Brief info

Colin spent nine years in Europe working with the Mars group in Sales, Marketing, HR, project management and operations roles. In 1995, he moved to Australia where he spent 11 years with Westpac in a diverse range of leadership positions across HR, Institutional Bank, Financial Services, Retail and Business Banking. Colin’s career at Westpac included HR generalist roles, Financial Controller for HR, project management and operations before being appointed General Manager with responsibility for 2,500 employees across Retail and Business Banking contact centres. In October 2011, Colin joined Suncorp as the Executive General Manager HR Advice and Services with responsibility for recruitment, reward, employee relations, learning, work health and safety, reporting, HR systems and payroll. In March 2014 Colin was appointed as the Executive General Manager, Partnering, Agile & Lean and Automation team. Since that time, he and his team have been focused on creating value through partnership solutions and designing our new Brisbane building. Colin was appointed to the leadership role for Real Estate, Procurement, Operations Delivery and Business Design on 13 October 2020. Since that time, he and his team have been focused on developing a clearer picture of “best-in-class claims” and enabling the full potential of our people, improving process and productivity, and how we manage our supply chain, as well as focussed on designing our workspaces for the future. Appointed in August 2024 as Executive General Manger, Operational Excellence responsible for the engagement across Suncorp stakeholders for enhancing efficiency and productivity within their business areas.
