We believe it all starts at home
At Habitat for Humanity Australia, we believe a stable, secure home creates the foundation for change. A safe home gives people the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure, and for children to be better nourished and better educated. We believe building a decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar – it provides real hope for the future.
We provide a hand-up not a hand-out
We don’t give hand-outs; we give people hand-ups by building homes in partnership with families in Western Australia. Our partner families put in labour and a deposit, and we offer our expertise and assist with financing. When the no-profit loan is repaid, it helps to finance even more homes for people in need. So with Habitat your dollar goes further.
Habitat for Humanity has built almost 800,000 houses around the world, sheltering more than four million people. Every four minutes a family has a better home and a better life thanks to Habitat for Humanity, our volunteers and partners.
