Team in the North
Vietnam

6th June - 13th June 2020

Get your hands dirty working alongside local communities to provide strong homes in the Dai Tu province of Thai Nguyen which has some of the highest rates of poverty in the country

The northern provinces of Vietnam have some of the highest rates of poverty in the country. Dai Tu District where the project is being implemented is one of the most marginalized districts of Thai Nguyen province with livelihoods predominantly dependent on agricultural production such as rice, tea, crops and forestation.

The families’ meagre incomes leave little savings to invest in the improvement, maintenance and safety of their homes. For the low income families living in non-sustainable housing, they remain trapped in a cycle of continuous investment for temporary repairs or renovations. Moreover, a large number of people are living in unsafe shelter and are using untreated water from wells, streams and rivers.

By volunteering for this build you will be able to help break the poverty cycle in Thai Nguyen and help these families have a safer present and a more sustainable future.
