Habitat for Humanity Western Australia builds, rehabilitates and repairs simple, decent, affordable homes in sustainable communities with support from homeowner families, volunteers, donors and partner organisations.
Habitat houses are sold to home partner families and are financed through affordable long-term loans. HFH Western Australia provides a ‘hand up’ to home partners, not a ‘hand out’.
We select partner families based on income, need and willingness to partner. We use supervisors and volunteer labour and where possible donated materials to keep costs low and take no profit for their services. A no-interest loan is made to the homeowner to cover the cost of the project.
