Our Brush with Kindness program originated from helping families affected by the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires with their recovery and rebuilding.
We mobilise teams of volunteers to conduct landscaping, gardening, fencing and minor external repairs for families in real need. It is a great opportunity for volunteers to get involved and lend a hand.
Since the devastating bushfires, we have completed more than 70 Brush with Kindness days, with the help of more than 2, 150 volunteers who have generously donated approximately 15,000 hours of labor.
We also undertake brush with Kindness activities in other areas and are seeking to expand the program to assist families in need to improve their housing and shelter.
