In June 2013, the Habitat for Humanity South Australia Board signed off on a new Strategic Plan to guide and direct us over the next 3 years. The Strategic Plan commits to growth and includes specific plans regarding home construction, expansion of our Brush with Kindness and Community Shed programs, education and training outcomes and community-wide development.
In terms of home construction and ownership opportunities in the immediate future, efforts will be initially concentrated in two locations:
Habitat for Humanity has completed five homes in Davoren Park and has committed to building four more new homes in this location over the coming years. The first of these homes will commence construction in 2017 and home ownership opportunities exist for eligible families to partner with Habitat for Humanity to build and own one of these homes.
The Reserve project is an innovative residential development being undertaken by the City of Salisbury. HFHASA has two affordable home ownership opportunities available for eligible low income families.
