Last month a team 12 volunteers from Westwood Group travelled to Quang Nam, Vietnam to build a home for a family in need.
Quang Nam is an extremely disaster prone area. Many homes in this area are substandard, and are often not equipped to cope with the effects of natural disasters. When disaster strikes, families must invest time and money to rebuild damaged or destroyed homes, depleting their meagre savings.
Westwood Group are supporting our Building Disaster Resilient Communities project in Quang Nam and gave a week of their time to make a difference with their own hands. The team spent one week building a disaster resilient home that will protect our partner family from the elements, provide access to clean water and offer a safe, secure and dry space for their children to fulfil their potential.
