Helping more Aussies into home ownership

Habitat Victoria shares why they are looking ahead to a busy year and their plans to help more Australians into home ownership.

2017 is shaping up to be a big year with the opportunity to grow programs and help more families in need. In March we plan to have the house on Lot 9 at Yea completed with our partner family moving in shortly afterwards.

We are very excited to also share that we have funds to build five more homes at Yea this year. The process to select families for these homes is underway.

Later this year we have an exciting new partnership with students from RMIT’s Building and Construction Faculty on a house build.

This year we will also complete our 60th house and we are planning something special to celebrate that milestone. Stay tuned for more information!

    1. Hi Bronwyn,
Thanks for your message and sorry to hear about your situation. What state do you live in? Our state affiliates carry out our domestic home building program so it’s best to contact them directly to see if there are any home building opportunities available. You can find their contact details here: http://habitat.org.au/our-work-in-australia/

      Good luck!
